About the Archives

The Handel and Haydn Society Archives comprises the records and artifacts which document the 200-year history and the official activities of the Handel and Haydn Society (H+H). The H+H Archives collects the business, legal, and administrative records; records of rehearsals and concerts (such as programs, reviews, scrapbooks, posters, and related ephemera); images and audio recordings.

About Our Collections

Our collections include both physical and born-digital material. Most of the physical collection is held onsite at the H+H offices in Boston, or in the Handel and Haydn Society Collection at the Boston Public Library.

About Our Digital Collections

The Handel and Haydn Society’s digital collections include both born-digital objects and digital surrogates of analog material. Our collection of concert programs is available online for viewing and research. Other materials in the digital collections include audio and audiovisual recordings of rehearsals, concerts, and publicity over the years.
